July 11th saw the end of measurement and the practice race kick off the Laser Masters' Worlds 2015 in Kingston, Ontario. With over 260 sailors from 26 countries spread over 7 fleets racing on two courses, this is going to be a massive event. With a schedule a little more relaxed than the Standard Worlds last week, these sailors have a first warning signal at noon for 2 races each day. The 15th of July is scheduled as a rest day, so we're expecting 12 races over the next 7 days with a promising forecast for wonderful Kingston conditions. We'll be out watching the sailors every day, and you'll be able to find all the photos here:

On July 1st the Laser Standard Worlds 2015 were opened to fanfare amongst the Canada Day celebrations in downtown Kingston. On July 2nd at 11:30 the sailors will hit the start line for the first race of the championship, 2 races per day for the next 7 days to crown the 2015 Laser Standard World Champion. We'll be out every day with updates and images of the action, you can find all the pictures from the event here:

With a long winter only clinging to our northern slopes and summer just around the corner we've been itching on getting back on and in liquid water.
We have quite the summer scheduled, starting with the Ottawa Skiff Grand Prix the traditional season opener where you either encounter boat breaking conditions or a drifting day trying to eke out enough speed to stave off the current dragging you on a ride through the Ottawa Rapids.
As the national and international laser fleet has descends on Kingston to make its stomping ground this summer, so will we, covering the Laser Canadians, Laser Standard World Championships, Laser Masters Worlds and the Laser Youth Radial Worlds throughout June, July and August. We're looking forward to classic Kingston conditions challenging one of the biggest one design fleets around.

Sticking to the Kingston theme this summer, we'll be taking photos out at all the CORK events in August, CORK International Optimist Regatta and CORK International.

There should also be a few surprises along the way.
Let the season begin!
